xx, 156 hlm. ; 30 cm ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze Roland Barthes' semiotic theory in the song "Lampu Merah" by The Lantis. The research employs a qualitative approach using Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis method. The findings indicate that the denotative meaning of the lyrics in "Lampu Merah" by The Lantis, as a whole, represents the literal meaning related to everyday experiences, such as being late in achieving one's goals. The moral message conveyed through the denotative meaning is that every action has consequences; therefore, individuals should take responsibility for their life choices, value their time, continue striving to overcome obstacles, and maintain good relationships with those around them throughout their life journey. Furthermore, the connotative meaning of the song's lyrics represents the psychological journey of individuals experiencing the phenomenon of life lagging, or the feeling of being left behind in achieving life goals. Based on the findings, Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis reveals that the central meaning of the lyrics of "Lampu Merah" by The Lantis is self-acceptance of delayed life achievements as part of the process of personal growth, as interpreted through the two levels of meaning in Roland Barthes' semiotic theory: denotative meaning and connotative meaning.
